I was assigned to locate several blog sites that
focused on the topic of Instructional Design. I knew that this would be an easy
process but I did not know the abundance of blogging on the topic. Sifting through
various comments deemed very challenging. Many ideas on instructional design
and individual perceptions about the concept presented a vast range of personal
topic of interests that was worth reading several times over.
One particular blog on motivating students for online courses, Motivation in Online Course Environments, hit a the right cord on recognizing the importance of considering a students motivation for online learning. A second blog site, The End of E-Learning, shared an interesting personal perception as to the wonders of the possible doom of the end of e-learning. This blog brings about the realization of the challenges of implementing e-learning convenience. Considering budget restraints and funding needed to hire multiple experienced individuals to not only create effective curriculum but to hire teachers that will execute effective instruction.
